'Battleship', the big-budget American science fiction action naval
war film inspired by on the board game of the same name is likely to
become the next casualty to 'The Avengers' record box-office
juggernaut.
Universal's new sci-fi thriller, directed by Peter Berg opens on May
18 in 3,690 US and Canadian theaters. It is estimated to garner ticket
sales of $35 million to $40 million over its first weekend.
